Black metal is never normally really associated with technical skill although there are definitely bands that are more than proficient. Some however seem to stand out abit more, and one of those bands imo is Abgott. I think at times when a BM band gets too "technical" they tend to sound more like death metal than Black metal, but I feel like Abgott still has that black metal "sound"

***Brian: hehe, yeah the video is definitely cheesy and over the top. you’re right…most tech death bands are more technical than this, but i do think that in order for them to keep that black metal sound..they still need to keep some of the tremelo picking. Also, if were to listen to the 3rd link…at about 1:50, that sounds fairly technical to me (of course you are the expert, so wouldn’t disagree)…but I do think this is moreso than most Black metal bands out there

Hi Owen, don’t have a lot of time pretty busy at the moment otherwise I would be more than happy to give 5 or 6 paragraphs to keep you entertained for a little while =P

first, I found the video a little comical, no disrespect on Black Metal culture but many of the gimmicks are just down right funny. the lead vocalist looks like a Gene Simmons, King Diamond and Marilyn Manson hybrid. there are indeed technical elements in the music, but I still don’t think it’s as technical to be put in technical death metal or even technical black metal.

in my opinion I would just consider them another EXTREME Black Metal band. yes there are difficult blast beats, I heard and well saw some 8th to 16th note arpeggio picking patterns one was 16th notes with some extended tapping technique there. there is a lot of extreme tremolo picking going on but to be honest the guitarists didn’t impress me anymore than Andy LaRocque or Pete Black back in the days of Them and Conspiracy, perhaps even The Eye.

what you have there is a more technical Mayhem and throw some Andy and Pete with a touch of King Diamond make up, Marilyn Manson grey contact lenses and some Gene Simmons red corn syrup and there you have Abgott. However, I can appreciate the talent there. I guess I made time to write up an entertaining answer there for you.

Let’s see…Well, one of the most popular white supremacist groups is the KKK. The started off as a group of Confederate soldiers angry about the outcome of the Civil War and were looking for someone to blame. Blacks ended up being one of the main targets. Eventually religion was used to prove that they were the chosen people. This can cause children raised up in an environment like this to obviously gain the same ideals. If the child rebels against it, it can cause a big strain between him/her and his/her family members; it would be projected that they were going against their own people, their blood. Some black supremacist groups started off because they were always at the bottom of society. Eventually they decided to take pride in themselves and blame someone for their issues as well, white people. Some of them even used religion to justify themselves being the chosen people not whites. What they do have in common are they start off with people who are of low status in any form, and trying to find a way to lift themselves up.

You could technically call yourself a Black supremacist (If you are Black) a Black supremacist would be someone who believes in the superiority of the Black race and believes all other races are some how inferior to them , Black supremacy like any racial supremacy can only realistically prevail in a nation which has a large black community with little diversity as far as race is concerned . I do not know of any black groups that lay claim to being black supremacists as such , but there are many Black gangs that do try to assert there authority in area’s which are unstable and predominantly Black.
