History essay test coming up…. .?

So, I have a history test coming up and we have to write an about some given topics of Latin America but I have no idea on what to write on some of them and I’m losing hope. Can you help and give me some points on what to write??

Here’s some of the topics:

1. Can the populist figures in the past like the Perons and Cardenass be described as democrats? Can the populist figures from the present also be described as democrats? what would it mean to call them democrats and why does it matter?

2. Why has the Cuban Revolution been so important since 1959 in Cuba and in the Americas?

3. What was the Bolivarian Dream and why was it so hard to fulfill?

1. past- nope, they were fascists. present- depends on country, most yes but folks like chavez are dictator-esq.

2. it set up the proto-typical revolution and agrarian reforms that various other la countries followed.

3. dream – that all la come together as one nation. la has many geographic obstacles that kept unification impossible.

A question for those of you who claim the US is responsible for Islamic terrorism due to its foreign policy?

I detest the Venezuelan government and its foreign policy, which consists of exporting the "Bolivarian" revolution to other nations in Latin America and its virulent anti-American stance. If I were to fly a plane into a skyscraper in downtown Caracas, killing 3000 Venezuelan civilians, would you then conclude the ultimate fault should be laid at Hugo Chavez’ feet, or would I be the one responsible?

If you say I would be responsible, why would you then say American foreign policy is to blame for 9/11 and other terrorist attacks?

I would say it is your responsibility as the pilot.

One could also say that if someone were to assassinate the President that it would be the Presidents fault for upsetting the murderer.

Equally as ridiculous.

USA is the biggest terrorist of the World said Hugo Chávez. Do you agree with HUGO Chavez?

USA is the biggest terrorist of the World said Hugo Chávez. Do you agree with Chavez?
Empire yanqui is the biggest terrorist of all time

Moscow, Russian Federation. – "Who protects terrorism, who is a terrorist?

So asked the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frías, the attitude of the U.S. government and recalled that despite the Venezuela that takes five years seeking the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles, the blasting of the Cubana airliner that killed Aviation all its passengers, the United States government has given positive response.

Since the auditorium of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples in Moscow, President Chavez said that the empire yanqui has been the biggest terrorist of all time.

"Hiroshima, Nagasaki, was it?

In the history of the centuries there has been no government entity or more TERRORIST ATTACK more than the government of the empire yanqui, the biggest terrorist of the times.

He assured that the world cynicism reigns, and cited as an example that the de facto president of Honduras, Micheletti, has gone out to walk in a concentration against President Chavez.

"It’s the stem of the cynicism that ‘Goriletti’ quit walking against Chavez, it was imposed by a military coup, which I have won elections eleven o’clock," said Chavez.

President Chavez said that "in Latin America there is a revolution, is no longer a revolution of 60, or the columns of guerrilla Che Guevara.

It is now a mass revolution, a peaceful democratic revolution, pero it’s a revolution, a revolution that you’re giving direction, not because revolutions are planned, as are the volcanoes, which accumulate strength, and with the Russian revolution , the heroic Russian revolution.

In this regard found that the error of the twentieth century is considered by some thinkers as the American century.

"This was not American, was the century of the world, as this century that is beginning will be the century of the new world."

To illustrate:

i think terrorists are the biggest terrorists of the world

Are the comments of Hugo Chavez about Obama true?

Chavez: ‘Obama is biting off more than he can chew’
by Bridget Johnson

On Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s "Alo Presidente!" show — an hours-long talkfest that is broadcast on TV and radio by mandate — last Sunday, Chavez both criticized President Obama and fretted about the possibility of an assassination. In Chavez’s own words…

On Obama: He "is not going to trick us with an ambiguous discourse or with a smile," and he wants to be seen "as a peaceful dove, as an innocent lamb."
On the "imperial" U.S. forces that Chavez thinks killed JFK: "I hope they do not kill Obama, because Obama is biting off more than he can chew."
On his Bolivarian revolution: "The process of change in Latin America is not going to stop, President Obama. You can send the Fourth and the Sixth Fleet, or the world’s largest bombers, but changes will not end."
On the responsible parties for the Honduras overthrow: "The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the US Department of State and the Pentagon."
The comments continue Chavez’s love, hate, love, hate, love, hate, love expressions toward the U.S. president since before Obama was even elected. Chavez also continued the theme of blaming the U.S., but not Obama, for the removal of Manuel Zelaya in Honduras.

I’m thinking that Barry and Hugo have a lot in common.

Why does Hugo Chavez think Obama is biting off more than he can chew?

Hater – Chavez is Obama’s buddy. I am just reporting what he said and am not supporting anyone.

I nearly LMAO when I saw this in the news and couldn’t believe it was coming from Chavez. I think what he was really saying is that he put too much of the "Chavez March to Socialism 12 Step Program" into play too soon that he should have waiting until he could be president for life, then squash the infidels who do not bow to the alter of the second coming.

But hey, Colin Powell is doing a ‘flip-flop’ and has gone on record more than once. Is this going to be a coming trend? We can ‘hope’.

U.S. Venezuelan relations, what’s the future?

Do you think the Obama administration will adopt a different approach towards Hugo Chavez government? Is Chavez bolivarian revolution likely to succeed in the region?

I am sure that the Obama Administration will follow a different policy from that of the Bush Administration.

He has already shown that in relation to Cuba, on which the bolivarian revolution is to some extent modelled.

However, it’s unlikely that Presidents Obama and Chavez will always see eye to eye. The two countries are very different, at quite different stages of development, which means that the politics required are also quite different.

That’s not to say that there is not a lot in common too, but we shouldn’t understimate the differences.

My hope is that the Obama Administration will be more open to and tolerant of President Chavez and his Latin American allies (of which the number is growing). That may help moderate some of Chavez’s more extreme and unnecessary views (in my opinion), such as his recent commetns about golf.

The bolivarian revolution will only succeed if President Chavez is more successful than he has been to date in dealing with crime and corruption, both of which feed opposition to the President. Only then can ordinary people really enjoy the benefits that health and education can bring.

Will Guatemala’s new president, Alvaro Colom join Hugo Chavez in anti-US policies?

Hugo Chavez has been trying to build a comunist Latin America with his Bolivarian revolution. How will this new election in Guatemala affect this movement?

I am wondering how much influence Chavez has had in the new presidents election…that will tell you a lot.

Does Venezuela have enough money to help St.Vincent & the Grenadines finish their airport?

Times are tough in Venezuela, and Chavez cut back on foreign aid after oil dropped, even Bolivia,Brazil and uba are getting less aid,is the bolivarian revolution dead in the water?

Venezuela requires $80 US to make a buck on a barrel of their oil. Chavez is a lame duck. The answer is no.

Like me, will you be celebrating Chavez’s 8th year in power tomorrow?

His inspirational revolution, Bolivarian revolution, is stopping the south from being just the back yard of the US.

His extraordinary popularity amongst Africans, Middle Easterners and nearly all of South America is something to behold. Why do people keep telling lies about him and the successes this man has achieved?

Though I agree with your take on the positive influence he has on South America,I’m too much of a skeptic to celebrate any political leaders anniversary in power.
The reason certain groups keep telling lies about him is exactly because he stand in the way of their goal to make South America into the backyard of the USA

Is Hugo Chavez going to make Cuba a state of Venezuela?

Apparently he has added a new star to his flag. Apparently he has received 5 billion in relation building funds from China. Apparently no one realizes that his Bolivarian Revolution is fascism.

If he takes over Cuba and gives oil rights to China and props missiles like Russia wanted to in the early Sixties will the news Media proclaim him a saint?

Is it posible that his co-op program and nationalization efforts are THE most dangerous Fascist trend since Hitler’s push to take Europe? Does he want all of South America?

Has anyone considered the rise of ChicanoFascism? Or what it means in terms of NAFTA, CAFTA, SAFTA, or a porous southern US Border?

I personally think that Chavez is going to keep screwing his people right up until one of his generals puts a bullet between his eyes.
