I’ve noticed that a lot of people who consider themselves christians are also pro-capitalism. Doesn’t that seem a little counter-intuitive to the message of Jesus? Do you ignore what he says, or do you try and justify it? Is it possible for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God?
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Socalism is good, however, we are blinded by the corruption of communism in the cold war to take it seriously. Imagine all the people, living life in peace! We can’t in capitalism.

This is an absolutely critical difference for understanding economics.
Capitalism is a system where individuals are free to engage in mutually beneficial trades with others. It is the economic system that develops in the absence of governmental intervention in the economy.
Mercantilism is the system of special privilege which Adam Smith and all genuine Capitalists since have condemned. Examples of Mercantilism include the Federal Reserve, the IMF, the World Bank, corporate welfare, tariffs, bailouts of failed businesses, the Military-Industrial Complex and other government intervention for the benefit of wealthy politically-connected interests. Mercantilism, which is the status quo in most of the countries in the world today (with the exception of the socialist countries, such as Cuba and North Korea, where the people live in extreme poverty), could probably be described most accurate as Socialism for the Rich (or Corporate Socialism).
Why do the liberals and conservatives constantly conflate these 2 economic systems which have next-to-nothing in common as being the same system even though they have very little in common?
Because, in the nineteenth century, "the capitalist system" was another word for "the mercantile system," and had nothing to do with free markets. Many supporters of free markets identified themselves as socialists – Warren, Proudhon, Greene, Tucker, Lum. Others did not – Bastiat – but didn’t identify as capitalist either.
Most liberals and conservatives equivocate between older and newer definitions.

We all know that that is inevitable because Capitalism is not benefiting the majority but only a few. When do you think it will happen?
Thanks for your answer.
No, only in your communist dreams, comrade.

What are 3 differences for capitalism, 3 differences for communism, and 2 similarities for both of them.
Capitalism is deception about ownership of companies.
Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, (buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market), do not actually work. Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism.
Profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is pathological deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the population with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names and fake backgrounds).
Actual economics is the persons that are paying the business loans of companies voting at work in order to control the property they are paying for.
Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and the criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.

How would you explain to someone that a recession or stock market crash is not the failure of capitalism? With the stock market crashing in the past couple of months, unemployment soaring, and the Big 3 automakers on the verge of bankruptcy I’ve heard more than one person comment that it’s all proof that capitalism is outdated or never worked very well. How would you explain to them that capitalism does work?
Yeah, but when did the economy officially transition from recession to royal fustercluck

Why did Capitalism not collapse during the Great Depression? There were other political parties out there such as the social credit, communists and CCF yet, why did people choose to stick with Capitalism? Help is appreciated Thanks!
Study it again. A vast progressive policy was implemented during the Depression. Big business was bullied, and threatened by FDR to toe the line or else.
The new progressive policies of FDR and the businesses benefited by the Smoot-Hawley Tariff were the two sides of the fascist coin. Even today remains the marriage between big government and big business. What you think of the great American capitalism, wasn’t particularly free market, and had more in common with the economic policies of Hitler of Mussolini that a truly free market. Even what set of the depression, the central bank of the time is a feature of a corporatist/ fascist State rather than a free market.

Would Capitalism fail completely if all people were Minimalists? Let us not forget that what keeps Capitalism alive is "senseless" Consumerism. Once people stop spending money on nonessential goods Capitalism is DEAD, in my opinion.
Thanks for your answer.
I am using the word Minimalism in a colloquial way.
"Read this comment:
Yeah, you know, Christmas’s approaching again and we all enter this hypocrite supposed religious festivities, where spending money and buying stupid things is the only real purpose, as well as eating, drinking and being a very very good person (this is sarcasm, just for the case you did not get it).
Whatever, I’d like that this positive feelings and people behaviour would last forever, but without the need of all the associated religious fervor (most of it hypocrite in my honest opinion) and market explosion that is getting closer once again.
And of course, the stupid waste of energy (only taking into account the lights, the whole thing would be far more) and the consequences this has in our ecology. Do we promove “five minutes with no energy” iniciatives to right after this ones switch on millions of unuseful lights for a month ? This is not the way"
This is one way of thinking, and some of the words are right.
When do you think people will stop spending money?
I say never!
LGHT BRIGHT!

My co-worker has made Blasphemous remarks against Holy Capitalism and it make me mad! I think he should go to jail. I tried to tell him that Holy Capitalism is Wonderful and that if he just works hard, he will become a millionaire but he said thats Bull Sh*t.
You can probably report him to the following
Fox News
The Republican Party
Glenn Beck
Rush Limbaugh
Ann Colter
Michael Savage
Michael Steele
any teabagger you happen to meet.
Any of these patriots or organizations will be happy to make sure that your American hating coworker is deported to France, or any other weakling European nation

If Free Market Capitalism is allowed to be the dominant economic system throughout the planet, then our gestures to save our planet from climatic disaster are just that, gestures that are totally futile.
Is it about time we tried real socialism, and not the deformed versions of it practiced in the Soviet Union, China etc.
Socialism will work perfectly in a modern economy, because of our history of democracy. Russia etc were backward economies that is why they become corrupt, because most of the population were poor non unionised rural workers. We understand what democracy is in the west, so beauracrtic corruption could never happen, if planning stems from below.
I think it is impossible to have "unfettered capitalism." I think people will always temper it with charity and kindness. "Capitalistic pigs" do find themselves shamed, and even jailed when they go against the laws of the land.
OTOH, unfettered socialism would never work, either. People sometimes do things that aren’t in their best short-term interests, but they can’t be depended on to do those things.
What we need is grass-roots socialism — people working together to help each other out, and taking active part in their local governments. Then, and only then, will socialism work. Because, if you still have "secret capitalists," they will game the system, and bring it down.
