At the first answerer that doesnt have any logic to it.
Many of our progressive leaders hope that it has—but there are too many of us individuals getting in their way to let it take full root.
*well, then Blue, you can thank your fearless leader Obama for MORE OF THE SAME.

I have an IQ of 135. But on a daily basis…it feels as though collectivism has the ability to immediately drop your IQ by at least 100 points.
I’m not even talking about the massive destroyed prosperity by socialism. But just pure collectivism.
Hey, if you don’t use it you are going to lose it.

I find it depressing that, in popular culture and games, collectivism and individualism are attached to order and chaos. Am I right in saying that it is stupid to do so?
Actually, individualism is the "politically correct" chaos of a system as it "ought to be". There should be no "order" except so far as the authorized law enforcement system does its job in protecting your rights under the law, and your attorney does his/her job protecting them under the Bill of Rights, especially the almost forgotten Ninth Amendment.
Political collectivism, however, (as opposed to a commune, etc) is all about the order created by cumbersome systems of enforcing social equality, which in the end are rarely about "justice" under the theory of natural rights (which is quite chaotic except for one thing-No one has the right to initiate force against another, but may use force in defense.)

Power CAN be used for well intentioned purposes, but it also changes hands
Collectivism is commanded, that’s why. Free will is not a choice in the collective, so you have to have someone control it.

Europe is in the red…literally.
Since it is so great, why don’t you liberals go move there so you can get your free health care?
I never liked any form of collectivism.
Germany is the strongest economy in the western world. Despite having the most unionized workforce in the world a 44% corporate tax rate, Universal healthcare, 17% VAT, crushing safety and environmental laws.

I just came to realize that we are so fascinated by collectivism. It always ends up with genocide, secret police, starvation due to central planning and wars of plunder.
Why is it so important to us that we implement collectivism world wide?
I think to much of one thing is bad. To much capitalism is bad because it follows the model that the rich get richer at the expense of the poor and the poor get poorer. To much socialism takes away the point of hard work, reward, and the driving force of our economy- consumerism. A balance between the two, I think, is what we should strive for.

hi all, im doing an assignment in college on the collectivism approach in health and social care. however im stuck. can somebody help me please?
thanks
If you lived in Britain or Sweden the answer would be all around you – the state (Britain) or local government (Sweden) runs the health service, and some aspects of social care. Healthcare is funded out of general taxation, although there may be some direct charges, such as for medication (unless you’re in hospital). Every lawful resident is entitled to healthcare simply by virtue of being lawfully resident.
While no-one can lawfully opt out of paying the taxes that fund healthcare, the decision whether to avail of it – as almost everyone does – or pay for private treatment is the individual citizen’s. In this respect, healthcare as a public service is collectivist but not totalitarian.
And by the way – it works superbly well. Don’t believe what your hired trolls Over There tell you.

and does that evidence trump the preponderance of historical evidence of freedom and individualism succeeds
Socialism has failed every time it was tried. Eventually some one has to do the work or the system will fall apart.

What are the main differences between communism and collectivism?
Usually, Communism is forced upon the populace by an all-powerful state, and run by an all-powerful elite.
Collectivism is the voluntary pooling of labor and resources, usually for the efficiency and the survival of the community where the collective is created.
