Topic: Green politics

Was Cage with his rep as a code sleuth put in the movie "Knowing" to propagate global warming & green politics?

By the Zionist Jews who own and control Hollywood.

It’s really hard to say. I know i love the movie regardless of whether it was based on propaganda or not.

Is it posssible to separate the "Green movement" from politics?

Does one have to be a "bleeding heart liberal" to reject fossil fuel use/abuse?
@Larry L One can ‘make policy’ without being a government official if one simply agrees with a view in regard to non-renewable resources? That does not sound accurate.

The green movement was not at all a political activity to begin with. Then the leaches in office saw people catching on to the idea and it actually making a difference. Some decided to claim the green movement for themselves while others decided to point out how bad it was because corporations weren’t making such a big profit anymore.

Is Green Politics the way forward?

and do you think green parties in the future will overcome the traditional power elites, e.g. republican/democrats in the u.s. or labour/conservatives in the u.k., etc.?

It is possible.
Since the crusades- when the elite tore down forests and removed peasants
from the land- the green side is the people’s side.

Why have climate scientists allowed climate change to become tainted by politics?

When there’s an entire political movement that is based on climate change (Democratic party), and billions of dollars invested into green projects and the Green business is huge, doesn’t that put a lot of pressure on climate scientists, who may be influenced by all of these trends instead of just focusing on scientific evidence.

Shouldn’t scientists be free to conduct experiments without influence from the oustide?

Scientists don’t really care about the world of politics or selective story-telling. They conduct experiments, gather data, and report. If other people twist that data to their own beliefs – so what, that doesn’t effect the job of a scientist.

One of the worst things the right has ever done is to politicize this debate. It belongs in the realm of science where 97% of the scientific community supports the theory of man-made climate change.

The 3% of scientists who claim there’s still a debate overwhelmingly work for conservative think tanks like the Heritage Foundation who are exclusively funded by oil and gas. Cons love to point out that scientists are motivated by money and therefore must be lying. Why don’t they ever turn that criticism inward?

Is the Green Party a Socialist movement?

I noticed the American Green Party Candidate for the 2012 Presidential Elections is also the candidate for the Socialist Party. This made me wonder: Is Liberal Green Politics a movement of Socialism?

yes, since socialism means putting the business under public control so the won’t:
1) hire as few people as possible so they will demand less wage for their family need then use the lack of job to justify destroying the environment
2) make what the rich want but not what the poor need since they don’t have money to invest in, thereby raising the poverty line
3) pretend to be green to trick others into buying wasteful things

What are some environmental debates/issues going on in american politics?

What are some "green" topics or proposed policies that government officials are trying to implement and make law?

None I can think of. This administration is all talk and no action. Strip malls and landfills continue to erase wildlife habitats, old-growth forests and other delicate ecosystems while both political parties dedicate their energies to special interests and matters overseas. What they refuse to understand is that without clean air and water we are all doomed. Add humans to the endangered species list!

What kind of classification is The Green Party?

…and why?
NOTE: It can be classified as one or more of these categories.
a.) Ideology
b.) Single-issue
c.) Economic protest
d.) Splinter

I am trying to write an essay for my government class, but honestly, I am terrible when it comes to politics. I need some help, please.

If I have to pick one of your answers, I would say Ideology.

The Tea Party is about less intrusive and smaller Government.

They are more about the Rights of the State.

They are for the Constitution that has held our country together.

They are against activist judges.

They are for promoting and encouraging the poor. Not for keeping them poor.

They donate more of their time and personal money to charity than any other political group.

They are for freedom and individual rights.

Female views wanted: Is it time for LESS green politics and LESS environmentalism?

I’m interested in finding out how girls and women feel these days about environmentalism, conservation of the countryside and building more roads and motorways etc in Britain. Thank you very much for your time! xH
Trees, protestors, bypasses, new housing developments; sexy issues like that…

My female view is a definite NO

I believe these things are very important. Less talking and more action would be an improvement for the politics ass they’re doing far too little too late.

I studies these issues at Uni in the 1980’s. Why wasn’t anything much being done then? In the 80’s people thought you were a weird alien if you discussed the issues outwith the uni and people didn’t seem to understand. Now everyone is tired of hearing about it, but it hasn’t gone away, it’s got more urgent.

I don’t care if it inconveniences people. The consequences of global warming and dwindling energy resources will be more than inconvenient. Being a mother, I care for my children and I care about the world they are brought in to. I’m fed up with so many adults behaving like spoilt brats and wanting to have everything and have it now. The greed of some people is appauling, disgusting and selfish. I think we’re all very spolit and will have to learn to be more thoughtful towards others and the planet we depend on. We have to discover how to be frugal and more thoughtful.

Look at the strange weather we had this winter. Comparing this to what my lecturers predicted global warming would do to our climate in the 1980’s, it’s very close. Makes you wonder.

Conservative Republicans, are you worried about the future of the internet in politics?

Now that things can be posted on the internet for the world to see, won’t that generate a more democratic and accountable society? Also, won’t the Libertarian and Green parties get more support because they’re more accessible?
lots of democrats will have to watch their step too cough*hillary*cough.

It’s the fascists (Bush is one) not the conservative Republicans who are worried about the Internet. But in spirit, I get your point.

Why would Van Jones be appointed to be the Green Jobs czar? What is the writing on the wall?

He has a very checkered past including radical politics and black nationalism.

He is a member of the National Apollo Alliance which includes ACORN. He is just another cog in the socialist remaking of America.
