Why do you push for various forms of Marxism (Socialism/Communism) in the USA? It has failed every single time it has been tried.
Socialism has failed in Venezuela, Greece, and all over Europe.
You want us to follow the policies of Greece? Are you out of your mind?
they have this idea that it could work "if we just do it right this time".

I’ve been researching this and pure communism and pure marxism have NO gov?
Yeah I’ve heard Marxism is and updated version of communism?
The true communist philosophy did not want government but a country ran by the society. Also Marxism is communism.
Response: Yes in a way it was a more updated version of communism because it supported growth compared to the original Communist idea which was anti-progress when it came to technology. Both still believed in a stateless society though.

I have an assignment for school, to write a paper on a particular worldview. I chose Marxism. I was wondering: what are some good sources to research on that? I already have the Communist Manifesto, and am looking for other books (preferably ones I could access in under a week, as I am a terrible procrastinator and the paper is due a week from tomorrow). Thank you!
You can look for the communist parties’ sites of other countries. I think you can find what you need. And also you can read Erich Fromm. He has lots of books about Marxism.

Why did marxism not become popular in the united states?
Well, for starters: Reference one country where marxism works? Marxism- WITH human rights in that country. Marxism- WITH NO poverty in that country. Marxism- WITH NO abuse from the government towards the people. Can you name just one ?
I can’t

I understand that they stem from the teachings of Karl Marx, but what exactly IS marxism?
Any help would be great.
First of all, people need money for food. Second, people need money for a house to live in. Third, people need money for health care, clothing, education, and about everything in life. Without some money, you will end up homeless and without a job, and hungry and try going to apply for a good job being homeless and dirty and hungry. Marx was trying to point out that the economic situation determines your entire life. Economics determine society. Money talks.

Do they penetrate the very unconscious of the people? Does Marxism also concern itself on the unconscious of the people in a certain society? Why? Why not? What does it say regarding the collective unconscious of the Filipino people?
I’m trying to remember if I found a question similar to yours in Malaysia or India Y!A.
I assure you that the answer was correct and centered, and I suggest you to find it.
I can not answer more adequately.
I recommend it, go ahead with the search!
Greetings!

I know Lenin believed that workers should have a great amount of power over the means of production. I also know There wasn’t really "private property". However I don’t really know much about how socialism differs from this. I know Marxism had a lot of aspects of socialism though. Anyway can someone please tell me the difference?
Socialism is a form of economy, Communism is a form of government. Communism embraces the socialist economic system of complete control of business in the hands of the government. The government in theory is supposed to be equal to that of the average worker, however anytime you give power to one individual over another, they tend to abuse it, therefore the reason why Communism frequently results in tyranny, oppression and murder.

I have looked in the Themes and Perspectives book and googled it and all i know it is to do with the Hidden Curriculum. I have read it so many times and it isn’t sinking in, so any breakdowns would be grateful.
What is marxism view on education and what is a positive and negatives of this?
Marxist believe that through the hidden curriculum (which teaches punctuality, subordination etc), ruling class ideology is Integrated into the individual, meaning that they will be the a workforce; easily controlled by the bourgeoisie.
Marxists see education as negative as a whole, and it would be up to the state to relieve the negativity of ruling class control and instead give the prole a chance to develop what they wish to learn i.e. giving them the facilities. This however, may make them subordinate to the state – which may be seen as a quasi-ruling class ideology.
