Is Christian fundamentalism the biggest threat to civilisation and democracy in America?
I love the saying that when fascism comes to America it will be dressed in an American flag and carrying a bible. I’ve had people on here tell me that i should be put to death because I don’t believe in god. Wow. I’ve NEVER heard an Atheist say someone should be put to death because they believed in god. If the religious were to be in charge, we would quickly sink in our international standing because our kids would get crap education.

Pretty much. They already have the ineffective abstinence only education which is homophobic (gays can’t marry) and they make a big deal about evolution.

Yes! There is no democracy here! Our government is a theocracy. We are run by a group of elite Christians who allow corporations to take advantage of everyday people by paying them minimum wage with no health benefits and build oil refineries in residential areas that dump toxic waste all over and cause pre-mature death and cancer and birth defects.

We were SO much stronger when we were more Christian. Now we are painfully liberal, to the point of almost being socialist. There is NO unity anymore. People protect the right to kill unborn babies, but find it abhorrent to kill a murder.
